Informetrics exploring databases as analytical tools |

The studies examined how international in scope were a sample of selected core library and information science journals. The databases searched were SciSearch and Social SciSearch on DIALOG. Results of the analysis were transferred to an Excel spreadsheet. CIS have also studied the idea of using informetric materials on the World Wide Web. Bibliographic databases were used in trend analysis in food science research.
